Mountain hiking across Hadseløya

SUMMER SEASON

Join us for a memorable mountain hike across Hadseløya. On this hike we will follow a beautiful mountain ridge that take you over several tops with spectacular views.

Vesterålen is HIKER’S PARADISE!

Three Peaks, Two Worlds: The Ultimate Ridge Traverse of Hadseløya

Join us for one of our absolute favorite hikes — a true mountain adventure showcasing the very best of Vesterålen! This trek takes you on a spectacular journey of contrasts, from the dramatic, rugged northwestern face of Hadseløya to the harmonious, open landscapes in the east. Three majestic peaks await you!

Highlights Along the Ridge:

Nilssvensktinden (549 m a.s.l.): We kick things off just west of Stokmarknes. The initial ascent will definitely get your legs working, but the reward at the summit is breathtaking and sets the standard for the rest of the day.

Motinden (625 m a.s.l.): We follow the stunning mountain ridge toward the island’s second-highest point. The final stretch offers a thrilling, airy rush before you find yourself standing at the peak, looking out over what feels like “the top of the world.” Here, we take a well-deserved break to soak in the epic 360-degree views.

Seterfjellet (570 m a.s.l.): Following a brief descent, we tackle the final leg of the day. At the summit of Seterfjellet, we are rewarded with panoramic views of Hinnøya (Norway’s largest island), the mighty Lofoten Wall, and Hadseløya’s highest peaks.

In the Realm of the White-Tailed Eagle

While we enjoy our final rest at the summit, keep your eyes peeled. We are in the heart of eagle territory, and there is a very good chance these majestic birds will soar right above our heads.

The trek concludes with a comfortable and scenic descent through easy terrain, where our transport will be waiting to drive you back in comfort.

Are you ready for a mountain adventure you will never forget?
